Effective Slot Machine Strategies 1

Slot games have been a huge success, ever since their first introduction to pubs and casinos back in the late 1800s. These games have survived a lot of regulation, prohibition, and more. However, throughout it all, they’ve endured as some of the most popular options for both land-based and online gamblers.

Ever since their creation, people have been debating slot strategies. Can we, as gamers, do something that will lead us to a positive result when spinning slots? In this article, we are going to definitively answer this question, based on the knowledge and experience of past gamblers.

Strategies to Win at Slots?

Right off the bat we have to come out with a harsh, yet simple truth; there is no strategy that any gambler can employ that will improve their chances of winning at slots. As harsh as that is, it is the unvarnished truth. The reason that no amount of strategizing can help you with slots is because of the mechanics behind these games.

Online slots work on something called Random Number Generator. The software basically generates randomized numbers for each slot, whose meanings and correlations change with each spin. That is how online slot games manage to capture that sense of randomness that the classic slot games had. Of course, with the progress of technology, most land-based slots now work with an RNG as well.

In other words, the outcome of a game of slots relies entirely on luck. Formulating strategies to win at slots is about as effective as formulating strategies to guess the outcome of a coin flip. Never-the-less, with the growing increase in interest for online casinos, a lot of people are checking out the Casino Days login page, and thinking about effective ways to play slot games.

Betting Strategies

As we said, there is really no way to effectively formulate a “winning” strategy in slots. Keyword there, however, is winning. This doesn’t mean that there are no strategies that could prove effective when playing slots. It just means that most of them are not strategies focusing on the outcome of the game, but rather, how much you wager on the game.

The development of the Random Number Generator software played a huge role in the establishment of online slots. However, even before the RNG, slots were not games that relied on strategy to win. Regardless, gamblers have come up with an alternative to a “winning strategy.” Most experienced slot players throughout history have relied on betting strategies when playing slots.

What are Betting Strategies?

A betting strategy is exactly what it sounds like; it is a tactic that gamblers use to determine how much money to wager and at what time. Initially, betting strategies were formulated as a way to play blackjack more effectively. However, with the introduction of slot games and roulette, players quickly adapted them for the new era.

Today, most gamblers, whether they be blackjack, slot, or roulette players use betting strategies, to more effectively wager. There are quite a lot of betting systems, one even based on James Bond, the brilliant film super spy. Of the numerous betting strategies that have been thought up over the decades, the most popular ones are the progressive betting strategies.

Progressive Betting Strategy

A progressive betting strategy is, in essence, any strategy where you progressively increase or decrease your wager, depending on the outcome of the game. Usually, progressive betting strategies deal with placing a higher bid each time you don’t win a game.

However, that isn’t always the case. One of the most popular progressive betting strategies, the Martingale, has an equally popular reversal, usually called Anti-Martingale, or simply the Reverse Martingale. Speaking of which, let us explore some betting strategies that any gambler should know.

The Martingale

We mentioned before that this is the most popular progressive betting strategy. The basic premise is that a player doubles their bet after each loss, and returns to the initial wager after a win. The idea is that said player would earn back the cash they’ve lost, and then some, in the case a win does eventually happen.

The Fibonacci

Certainly, most have heard of the famous mathematical sequence. The Fibonacci is based around this exact math sequence. The idea is that each subsequent bet is the sum total of the previous two, so a Fibonacci system-based bet might look something like this: $5 – $5 – $10 – $15 – $25…

Anti-Martingale

The anti-martingale is the exact opposite of the Martingale. It is not as effective, and most don’t take it as such. However, the idea is that lowering your bet after each loss will reduce your losses, while increasing them after a win will give you a boost.

The Anti-Martingale is based on the flawed idea that, in gambling, there is such a thing as streaks. However, as we’ve explained throughout this article, slot games are entirely random, and there is no such thing as “winning” or “losing” streaks, just pure chance.
